If you have a Singapore-registered account and use the account to make a purchase in another country (either via store or website), you will accumulate spends based on the conversion rates of your account base currency with the country you are spending in.
E.g. I register and spend with a Singapore account in SGD from 1 Jan 2022 but travel overseas to Hong Kong in Jun 2022 and spend in HKD for 3 months. How will this affect my spends?
- Your base currency is SGD as your account was registered via the Singapore website
- For the HKD spends, these will be converted to SGD based on a prevailing conversion rate we have and then added to your accumulated spends
